SensAI Go Devlog 0.3
Hello everyone,
I wanted to give a short update on the state of SensAI Go development, we have one primary new feature, but it's an important one, we finally got analytics and metrics to measure and visualize player performance and progression.
The tldr:
- New: Advanced Player Metrics
- New: Player profiles and avatars
- New: Minor update to feedback options
- Fix: Much improved Katago disconnect handling
- Fix: Got rid of an annoying UI issue with some browsers
- Fix: Various small improvements to email notifications
Advanced Player metrics
I finally added analytics and performance metrics to SensAI Go. You are now able to review your mistakes after the game and get some interesting metrics and graphs to play around with. The system will also remember the evaluation of your moves, so we can visualize your overall game quality and its development over time, this might be especially interesting for our up-and-coming new players.
Furthermore, SensAI Go also calculates the average game quality of all players for each rank, so you can compare your data to an "average" 1d, for example, or any other rank, to get a feeling of what is lacking in your game to get to the next level.
Lastly, you can also compare your performance to some true Go legends of the past, please checkout my latest video where I do a comparative analysis, and you'll also learn how the new metrics in SensAI Go work:
This is a big step forward for the platform, and I hope to build and expand on the analysis system in the future.
Otherwise, I added player profiles and avatars, so feel free to add a profile pic for your account ;)
I won't go into detail about the fixes, if that would be interesting to you, let me know.
Outlook
Unfortunately my unpaid leave from work will end in a few weeks, so I will have less time to work on SensAI Go. However even if I return to work, it will be only part-time, so I'll still have a few days per week to make consistent progress.
Until then, I want to use the time I have efficiently, and have 3 big topics on my list for the coming weeks, I hope to finish at least 2 of those until the end of March:
- Review/teaching tools (board markup and shared review sessions)
- Backups (don't want to lose user data in case of problems)
- Time controls (fast, medium, long games)
Anyway, thanks for reading until the end! Check out the latest changes in SensAI Go and stay on the lookout for new updates. Hit me up on Discord if you want to chat or just play a game, looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes!
